Microwavable & Ovenable
Unlike wood fibres, our bagasse fibre trays can withstand high temperatures; making them suitable for ovenable and microwavable applications. Our trays have been tested to have similar cook times and temperatures as their plastic counterparts.
High Barrier
Ideal for cut fruit, salad with protein, prepared meals and other perishable food, our high barrier trays can provide a shelf life of up to 28 days. We have a suite of films that provide custom barrier properties for your unique application.
Long Shelf-life
ThermoFibre specialises in providing custom refrigerated and shelf-stable solutions in excess of 28 days but typically from 12 to 18 months. These trays are compatible with thermoplastic and foil lidding.
Compostable
ThermoFibre is proud to offer the first laminated tray and film lidding solution with peel-off option to allow for the trays to be composted*.
Our fibre trays can be certified industrial or home compostable. Since they are bespoke to each customer, we do not get the trays certified, we assist our customers in getting their individual design through the certification process.
Lidding / Sealing
Our trays are compatible with all tray lidding and sealing machines. Building a tray using cellulose fibre can work with your existing lidding film tooling. We can replicate your current packaging to work with existing tooling and films so the process is easy. Therefore making a change to environmentally and sustainable friendly packaging.
Eco Peel
All the above mentioned tray types are compatible with our Eco-peel feature that allows the consumer to take a soiled food container, remove the film leaving a clean tray that can be recycled with mixed paper! This technology is environmentally friendly and allows the laminate to be discarded in the appropriate container and the tray can be recycled or composted.
Brand Customization
We offer the following two techniques for brand customization:
Embossing/Debossing Our custom trays can be embossed or debossed with your logo, part number and even a brief message. This feature adds a personalized note to your product and for your consumers.
